About TSH Chicago

My number one goal is for players to enjoy their training and look forward to coming back to the rink!

Coach Jon Lopez - TSH Chicago

Coach Lopez and one of his TSH mascots, Hazel.

My name is Jon Lopez and I run Top Shelf Hockey Chicago (TSH Chicago). I grew up playing travel hockey in the Chicagoland area and continue coaching all ages today.

I love hockey. This is what I want to pass on to all of my hockey players at TSH Chicago. The hockey culture in my TSH activities consists of happy-aggressive-competition. All players learn how to enjoy mastering their craft, focusing on their specific learning goals to then bring those skills back to their teams.

Whether in private lessons, small groups, large sessions, summer camp or during tournament team practices, players are always encouraged to challenge themselves to get to the next level of their personal skill development. I am proud to say that I have had many players that go on to play higher levels of hockey.

During the off season, TSH Chicago has a one of a kind 10 week summer hockey development camp for mites-squirts-peewees-bantams. On ice training is just the beginning of this incredible camp that includes chess competitions, golf, baseball, soccer, lacrosse and more!

My philosophy of coaching strives to be both traditional and forward thinking. Lessons learned in TSH sessions continue to encourage players and improve their confidence.

I'm hoping to do training all over the country and would love to create a great connected hockey community.

Looking forward to seeing you at the rink!
