TSH Chicago Founder and Head Coach
My name is Jon Lopez and I run Top Shelf Hockey Chicago (TSH Chicago). I grew up playing travel hockey in the Chicagoland area for the Northern Express. I was fortunate enough to be on multiple winnings squads, played in numerous states and had the opportunity to stay with a host family in Sweden on two separate occassions. So many hockey experiences have given me a lifelong passion for the sport and I continue coaching all ages today.
I have been a private instructor for nearly15 years now, and currently am the skills instructor for The Northern Express Hockey Organization. In addition to skills instruction, I am the head coach for two teams at Express.
Running many different TSH Chicago sessions for the various age groups is a great passion of mine and I welcome players from ANY club to join the TSH family.
My number one goal is for hockey players to enjoy their training and look forward to coming back to the rink!

Advanced Figure Skating Instructor
A lifelong figure skater, Ania went on to be a lead instructor for many skaters throughout the years. As a private skating coach, Ania has been a huge part of the figure skating Learn-to-Skate program as well as the Learn-to-Play-Hockey program at Oakton Ice Arena.
Hockey skates for hockey and figure skates for figure skating! Coach Ania is truly a gifted instructor.
Balance, edge work, and power skating are critical for all hockey players looking to take their game to the next level.
Multiple talented hockey players started out skating with Coach Ania as youngsters and have gone on to be very strong skaters. Travel and AAA players can say they learned from Ania and that her foundation started them off on a great track.
Ania is an invaluable member of the coaching staff at TSH Chicago and will continue to be a key skating mentor for our hockey family.
